Our Accessibility and Inclusivity Promise

At Unity5, we are always seeking new solutions to help us expand the availability and accessibility of our products and services. Our commitment to accessibility includes online and in-person solutions. Our aim is that no one is excluded from being able to access the cloud-based solutions we provide.

With that in mind, we have launched tools in order to enhance the accessibility of our website. The UserWay  tool at the bottom of every page allows any user to tailor the website to fit their needs, including increasing the font size, reading content out loud and a dyslexia friendly tool and the ability to translate our website into several languages.

We are always seeking to improve and would encourage anyone who has additional requirements to contact us to help us improve our services so that they work for all.

Conformance Status

Unity5 makes UserWay’s Web Accessibility Widget available which is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows Unity5 to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standard defines requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. ‘Fully conforms’ means that the content meets all of the WCAG requirements at the specified Level without exceptions. Our application is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and we continue to review our products and work on areas for improvement.

 

Website

In an ongoing effort to continually improve fixes to accessibility issues, we regularly scan http://www.unity5.com with UserWay’s Accessibility Scanner. This tool helps us identify and fix every possible accessibility barrier on our site. Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on http://www.unity5.com fully accessible, some content may not yet meet the strictest accessibility standards. This may be due to not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.

 

Social Media and Video Captions

In addition to our website, we are committed to ensuring that our social media presence and video content are accessible to all users. All videos published by Unity5 are provided with captions to assist those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

We strive to make our social media content inclusive by using descriptive text for images and ensuring that our posts are easily readable and navigable for everyone. By applying these practices, we aim to create an engaging and accessible experience across all platforms.
