An Invaluable Experience at Parkex 2025
writes Unity5’s Director of Commercial Strategy & Partnerships Hannah Fuller…
Once again Europe’s largest dedicated parking event – Parkex, provided an invaluable experience for the great and good of the UK parking sector. The two day event offered a unique opportunity to connect with industry peers, learn insights from leading experts, and exchange best practices and innovations with both partners and customers.

Valuable time spent with Customers and Prospects
I’m always proud to represent Unity5 at our stand. It’s great to see so many purple Unity5 branded polo shirts across the Parkex halls and to see the stand packed with customers and prospects. We were thrilled to see such a strong turnout on the stand for drinks on Day 1, and for the third year in a row we had the pick of the expo come over and enjoy our networking event.

The innovation: AI enhanced features from Unity5
Our latest innovations were equally well received – our AI chatbot is the first in our suite of AI tooling that will support customers throughout their appeals and representations process. From helping to write responses, to pulling key information from the ticket to direct the customer to the correct course of action, this is a huge leap in ensuring that we are helping customers at the point of payment or appeal. Customers and prospects were also impressed by our customisable dashboards, these can be used to display data at a glance and track trends as well as to support data driven decisions.

The products
There were many proud moments as our dedicated teams showcased our 7 core products for the first time after Unity5’s acquisition of Chipside. It was great to hear the positive feedback from customers and prospects as they were shown the latest developments on Zatpark, Zatpermit, Zatenviro, Chipside, MiPermit, Oppidatim and Ecom6 – all presented via live demo stations on our busy stand.

The panels: British Parking Association (BPA)
Beyond our stand, I had the privilege of representing the British Parking Association (BPA) on two highly engaging panels: the Technology Group panel discussion on big data, parking fraud and AI usage. Meanwhile, the Women in Parking panel launched the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion charter for the industry. Both sessions were delivered to packed rooms, highlighting the industry’s keen interest in these crucial topics, and I personally gained a great deal of knowledge from the discussions.

The launch: NPP
The launch of the National Parking Platform was also a significant milestone, and was met with great enthusiasm by the industry and the national press. This becomes particularly relevant following our recent acquisition of Chipside.

The F&M Hamper: A lovely gesture
The lucky winner of our Fortnum & Mason hamper drawn at random chose to re-gift it to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool – what a heart warming gesture.
A major highlight
My highlight of the event was the opportunity to meet Lilian Greenwood MP, the Minister for the Future of Roads. As a representative of the BPA Council and a co-founder of Women in Parking, it was incredibly encouraging to hear her express strong support for the industry, innovation, compliance, and the vital work of Women in Parking. Her insights and backing highlights the positive trajectory of our sector.
Parkex 2025 truly delivered once again and we were delighted to play our part in a fantastic event. We thank the BPA and wider parking industry for providing us with another two very memorable days and we’ll be energised by it for many months to come.
